The Rose Bowl Southampton Pitch Report

The surface at The Rose Bowl is a bit on the slower side. The batters will have to be patient early on in their innings. They will have to adapt to the conditions before they can start playing high-risk strokes. The spinners enjoy bowling here as the ball grips off the surface.

The surface tends to tilt a bit batters as it offers consistent bounce which makes it easier for the stroke players to play their shots. In addition, after the passage of play, the ball also starts to grip once the wear and tear starts occurring this is where spinners come into play.

Batsman Friendliness

The ground has short boundaries which result in batters playing more aerial shots than usual at this venue.

Bowler Friendliness

Bowlers, on the other hand, have to face a challenging task on such a surface.

Pace Friendliness

The pacers are likely to get some assistance with the new ball.

Spin Friendliness

The spinners enjoy bowling here as the ball grips off the surface.
